I bought this so I could share it with my students when we study about the Sandalwood Trade during the reign of Kamehameha the I & II. I cut small paper strips and rubbed the oil on so they could sample it. The lesson went great. I saw my students rubbing the testers on their wrists, necks, their backpacks, lanyards, and their clothes. . . both boys and girls. It was a great lesson and an opportunity for my students to express empathy for the families that were impacted by the trade. Mahalo!!
PS. My students asked me for the website!
Aloha and mahalo for sharing this wonderful story! We can also help with arranging a field trip to the sandalwood farm if you're on island.
